What is the BBNZ GameDay Levy?
The BBNZ GameDay Levy is a small fee charged to players who participate in basketball competitions and programmes affiliated with Basketball New Zealand (BBNZ).
The levy helps support the wider basketball system in New Zealand, including player development, competitions, coaching, refereeing, administration and the ongoing development of basketball at all levels.
The levy is separate from Basketball Mid Canterbury (BMC) competition and registration fees and is paid through the BBNZ GameDay registration system.

How much is the levy?
The BBNZ GameDay Levy is $5 per player for applicable BBMC competitions and programmes.
Where applicable, this will be added to your registration during the registration process.

How do I pay it?
Schools have been provided with a specific GameDay registration link for their students to use when registering.
Players and parents can use the link provided by their school, or find your school’s registration link below.
The $5 BBNZ GameDay Levy is paid as part of the registration process for each eligible player.

Is the levy included in my BMC fees?
No, not if you have been regsitered Via a school.
The BBNZ GameDay Levy is a separate charge from BMC competition and programme fees unless specifically stated otherwise.
Please check the registration information for your particular competition or programme to see exactly what is included in your fees.

Why do I have to pay it?
Basketball Mid Canterbury is affiliated with Basketball New Zealand, and players participating in applicable BBNZ-affiliated programmes need to be registered through the BBNZ GameDay system.
The levy helps contribute to the wider basketball infrastructure that supports players, coaches, referees, clubs and competitions throughout New Zealand.
